| It is most modern and dependable sectioning equipment specially designed for precise sectioning of tissues upto 1 micron thickness. It has a front located feed indicator with CAM DRIVE SYSTEM for accurate feed setting from 1-50 microns in steps of 1 micron each. Some of the prominent features include independent fed mechanism with automatic safety device, universal knife holder with lateral movements to permit use of complete knife edge, ball and flangs type object holder for accurate centering of the specimen and full swinging protective cover for easier cleaning and lubrication.
The equipment assures smooth operation through out the life of the instrument and latest machining techniques are used in manufacturing individual components in addition. The microtome razor is fabricated from imported fine grain steel alloy tested for microstructures and the razor is heat treated to maintain optimum strength and sharpness.
