Anaerobic modified mclntosh and fildes pattern, for the safe growth of anerobes by utilising a catalyst which is active above 00C. The heavy glass jar 23 cm. high x 15 cm. dia. has top surface ground flat and the metal cover fitted with a torodial sealing ring if held in place by hand tightening only. The cover is fitted with two needle valves for evacuation and filling and a sachet containing the catalyst with pressure gauge
