Standard Resistance Cat No 1206 F (1205)

These resistances incorporate the latest design and can carry comparatively large currents without being heated. The resistances are immersed in moisture free and non-corrosive oil contained in metal vessels. Manganin coils are used which are throughly aged. Silver soldered connections are used. Standard resistances of 0.1, 0.01 and 0.001 ohm are provided with 2 terminals only.

Resistance Thermometer Platinum PSAW (1206 E )

The thermometer comprises a length of fine platinum wire about 2.8 W resistance wound non-inductively on a mica frame and soldered to stout copper leads. Apair of compensating leads are provided. All four leads being connected to terminals mounted on a suitably engraved insulating panel which is joined to the mica resistance frame by cork mount on to which is fitted a stainless steel tube. Since connections are soft soldered this resistance thermometer is suitable for temperature work. Packed in velvet lined case.

Temperature Coefficient of Resistance PSAW (1206 D )

For determining the temperature coefficient of resistance of copper. Comprising a coil of fine enamelled copper wire of about 7-10 W resistance, wound non-conductively on an insulating frame and connected to thick copper wire fitted with terminals. The coil is enclosed in a glass tube to contain parafin oil. The rubber stopper is drilled for a thermometer. Tube size approx. 150 mm x 25 mm dia. Cat. Resistance Coil with Short Circuiting Device PSAW (1206 C)

Suitable for insertion in circuits with standard cell or as a high resistance for use in series with sensetive galvanometer.
Comprising a carbon resistance of high value adjusted with double silk covered constantan wire to the actual value marked on the panel. The said adjusted coil is housed in bakelite case with a rectangular thick bakelite top, having brass block short circuting plug. Two brass terminal are provided and the panel is clearly engraved with the resistance velue.

Resistance Coil Round Bakelite Type PSAW (1206 B )

Comprising a non-inductivity wounded coil of double silk covered constantan wire and enclosed in a circular moulded bakelite case. Two brass terminals are provided and the value of each coil is clearly marked on the top of the case. The coil is adjusted to accuracy with in ±0.1%. Any range from 0.1 Ώ to 120 Ώ.

Resonance Apparatus, all metallic brass pipe PSAW (1207 C )

An economical model similar in specifications to cat. no. 1207, consists of brass pipe and brass reservior. Wooden boards replaced by metallic strip.

Resonance Apparatus Brass Pipe PSAW (1207 B )

A heavy brass pipe 1”, 1.10 mm in length x 2.5 mm dia is mounted next to a meter scale. The brass pipe and meter scale is fitted on a superior quality polished wooden board. The lower end of the brass tube is sealed into a metal cup having a side tube connected by rubber tubing to a brass reservoir, also mounted on the support rod but with elevation adjustment. The length of the resonance column may easily be determined by measuring the distance between zero stop and the closed end of the tube with the meter rule. Supplied without rubber tube.
