Hysteresis Loop Tracer General Description (1460 )
A precise knowledge of various magnetic parameters of a ferro - magnetic substance - coercivity, retentivity, stauration magnetization and hysteresis loss and the ability to determine them accurately are important aspects of magnetic studies.
To information about the above mentioned properties can be obtained from a magnetization hysteresis loop which can be traced by a number of methods in addition to the slow and laborious ballistics galvanometer method. Among the typical representatives of A.C. hysteresis loop tracers, some require the ring form of samples. But ring form samples are not always practically convenient to make while in others demagnetization effects sometime becomes quite important.
The present set up can accept the samples of thin wires of different diameters. The demagnetization effects, different diameters of samples and Eddy current (due to the conducting property of the material) have been taken into account within the design or grahically.
Appications
The following magnetic parameters can be measured by this setup :
. Coercivity . Retentivity . Seturation . Magnetization . Various magnetic phase identification . Hysteresis loss.
Measures magnetic parameters accurately
Demagneticization, eddy currents and sample cross sectional areas have been caccurate.
Capable of detecting the nuimber of mahgnetic phase present in a sample.
Faciluiity of accepting different shaped sample wire, thin films, rock samples, powders etc.
The equipment is complete in all respects, including a set of a samples (wires of nickel and different grades of iron etc except a CRO).

STEWART & GEE APPARATUS (1464 )
It consists of a circular frame made from non-magnetic silver aluminum alloy. An insulating copper wire is wound on the frame. The ends of the wires are connected to the terminals which are fitted on the superior quality wooden board. A rectangular frame (made from anodized aluminum rods) is supported on wooden board. The anodized aluminum rods are graduated up to 50 cm on both sides. Superior quality permanent magnet compass box moves on a platform (made from aluminum - silver alloy). This platform moves on the rectangular frame along the axis of the coil. Supplied with a superior quality compass box of cat. No. 1078 D

Gold Leaf Electroscope in Bell Jar (1465 )
Gold leaf provides high sensitivity to this electroscope. The glass used has exceptionally good dielectric properties. Conducting strips on sides serve to discharge the leaf when charge becomes excessive, thus reducing likelihood of injury to it. Supplied with aluminum collar and screwed in aluminium top. Elegantly finished on a polished wooden circular base.

Conductors (1471 ) An insulating stand on tripod base, hammers tone finish, three different shapes of medium size conductors are provided in the set :
a) Conical shaped conductors: shows that the distribution of static charge on a conductor depends upon the curvature of the surface.
b) Hollow sphere shaped conductor: show that charge resides on the outside of the conductor.
c) Cylindrical shaped conductor: shows that electrostatic charge is only on the outer surface of the conductor.
