Hysteresis Loop Tracer General Description

Hysteresis Loop Tracer General Description (1460 )
A precise knowledge of various magnetic parameters of a ferro - magnetic substance - coercivity, retentivity, stauration magnetization and hysteresis loss and the ability to determine them accurately are important aspects of magnetic studies. To information about the above mentioned properties can be obtained from a magnetization hysteresis loop which can be traced by a number of methods in addition to the slow and laborious ballistics galvanometer method. Among the typical representatives of A.C. hysteresis loop tracers, some require the ring form of samples. But ring form samples are not always practically convenient to make while in others demagnetization effects sometime becomes quite important. The present set up can accept the samples of thin wires of different diameters. The demagnetization effects, different diameters of samples and Eddy current (due to the conducting property of the material) have been taken into account within the design or grahically. Appications The following magnetic parameters can be measured by this setup : . Coercivity . Retentivity . Seturation . Magnetization . Various magnetic phase identification . Hysteresis loss. Measures magnetic parameters accurately Demagneticization, eddy currents and sample cross sectional areas have been caccurate. Capable of detecting the nuimber of mahgnetic phase present in a sample. Faciluiity of accepting different shaped sample wire, thin films, rock samples, powders etc. The equipment is complete in all respects, including a set of a samples (wires of nickel and different grades of iron etc except a CRO).
