Maxwell’s Inductance Bridge ‘PSAW’ (1022 A)

We can also measure self inductance with the help of this bridge.

P= R3 = consists of standard decade dial of 3 dials - 10 x 10, 100 x 10 & 1000 x 10 ohms.
Q = R4 = consists of standard decade dial of 3 dials - 10 x 10, 100 x 10 & 1000 x 10 ohms.
  R2 = consists of standard decade dial of 3 dials - 0.01 x 10, 0.1 x 10 & 1 x 10 ohms.
  L1 = single dial inductance box (10 mH to 100 mH) is to be connected from outside.
  R2 = is connected in series with L1 to form third arm denoted as R.
  L2 = unknown inductance whose value is to be calculated is connected in the fourth arm S. Schering Bridge
P = R1 = consists of ratio dial 1, 10, 100 & 1000 ohms.
  R2 = consists of ratio dial of 1, 10, 100 & 1000 ohms.
  C2 = Gang capacitor of 500 pf.
  Q = In this arm C2 is placed in parallel with R2 to form second arm cd.
R = C3 = consists of three dial condenser box of 0.001 x 10, 0.01 x 10 & 0.1 x 10 mfd.
  r = consists of three dial resistance box of 1 x 10, 10 x 10, 100 x 10 ohms.

Unknown capacitor C1 whose value is to be calculated is connected in series with r to form fourth arm S. Terminals for the connection of headphone, unknown capacitor and oscillator are also provided on the panel.
